I don't know how Toni does it, but every book she writes I fall more in love. I've been curious about Phillip and I was excited to read his story. Phillip hasn't had an easy life. He came from a bad background and escaped it all. He didn't let the past define, unlike his best friend Erik Titov. He has the best heart and is constantly pushing his friend towards happiness. Phillip's life is thrown upside down when he's suddenly responsible for his 16-year-old niece. Claire is angry at him for leaving her many years ago and has made it her personal mission to make his life a living hell and to push him away. In this process, he learns how much his niece loves to dance and she ends up dancing at Reese's studio. Reese is the best. She comes off as coldhearted, man-eater and bitchy but she's far from that. She's been brutally hurt and knows what it takes to make it in the dance world. When she sees Claire, she sees her potential. She knows Claire is wickedly talented and wants to be a part of her journey. Phillip and Reese have this attraction to each other that they just can't break. Reese doesn't want anything serious and Phillips pretends he doesn't either. He knows he want's Reese and is willing to wait for her to realize he's what she really wants. I love my assassin guys but Phillip has to be the most patient man for all of them. He knows he wants her and doesn't give up. He wants Reese, Claire and him to be a family. Through all their ups and downs, hot chemistry, witty banter, they finally get it. This story ends in an HEA. I recommend not only this book, but this series. You don't have to read them order but it helps to know about the reoccurring characters.Product details

Breaking away is close to tying with Taking Shots as being my favorite Assassins Novel! Reese & Phillip's Story is so emotional and sexy, you'll be wishing it would never end! I wasn't sure is i was going to like Reese Allen, she always seemed a little cold in the other books. But i was so wrong. There is so much to this tall, beautiful, dancer. She has been burned bad in her past, by a man she though she would spend the rest of her life with. But being the strong, independent, successful women she is, she picked her self up and made a name for her self in the dance world. And now owns one of the top dance schools. Now on to Phillip Anderson aka (The Pussy Killer) ;) OH BOY did i love Phillip! He is SO close to tying with my with Shea Adler for being the most swoon worthy guy on the Assassins team! He is tall, sexy, & he goes for what he wants. Not to mention he changes his life so much to care for his teenage niece Claire. And he becomes the best uncle or dad you could say, to her. Even wtih all the problems she causes him. He stays strong for her. I really loved Claire & Reese's relationship too. It was sweet, and i loved how Reese took to Claire, and believed in her & her dancing. I loved Reese & Phillip through this whole story! The laughs, sex, fights, drama, romance. All of it made for such a fun book!

Reese, spying on Claire, while she is dancing, in her room at, Reese's sisters house. Which is where, Claire stays while, Phillip is out on the road the Nashville Assassins, the hockey team, he plays on. When she asks if she could please come to her dance studio, to her classes, so she could teach her some new and better texhniques, that might help improve her already phenomenal dancing skills.
Phillip and Reese, are a force of nature. They take the word "fun" to the next level. Phillip, falls first, but afraid of what, Reese will do, keeps his true feelings a secret. Then, Reese, falls, and it scares her to death, she immediately, makes, Phillip leave, not knowing what was going on. Just all things fabulous, the poof, you have to leave, NOW!!!
Will Phillip and Reese find their way back to each other? Will they get their own, Happy Ever After?
Every woman needs a Phillip in her life! Toni Aleo has created a masterpiece with this book! I am newer to Toni Aleo's books and have to say I've been reading them totally out of order but this book was completely amazing as a stand alone read.
Phillip is stepping up after his sister's death to care for his niece Claire. He loves her so incredibly much but she has deep rooted hurt in her bones and it will be up to Phillip to try to help her get past everything she has been through. He turns to the help of his friend and teammates wife from the Assassins hockey team and find so much more.
Reese has sworn off relationships with everything in her being. After a love gone wrong, she refuses to ever put herself in the situation to have her heart broken yet again. She is a one-night stand kinda gal and enjoys it that way.
When Reese and Phillip meet, they are automatically attracted to one another and what works best is neither of them are looking for a relationship. Sparks fly and they have some steamy moments together after a night out with friends and family.
Reese realizes she can help Claire through the art of dance and Phillip starts to realize his feelings for Reese are developing in ways they shouldn't be. Can Reese get past the relationship dilemma?
I absolutely loved every second of this book. I was turning pages quickly and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. Such a fantastic read!
